Understanding Oil Gallery Exhibition

Understanding Oil: Fong Baatz’s Student Exhibition opens Saturday, February 10th in the Magnuson Park Gallery! This exhibition is on view through March 1st. Please join us for an artist reception February 17th, 1-4 PM!

This exhibition features students of all ages who all have learned foundations in oil painting from observation to help extend their work beyond. These works vary in style and composition, but key techniques that Fong Baatz teaches may be found across pieces, such as patchwork, subtle shifts in value and hue, and warm under-paintings left peeking through in the final results.

For this exhibition, the gallery is free to visit Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 12-3PM. Find us in Building 30 West in Magnuson Park at 7448 63rd Ave NE.
